Grab N' Grow continues to recycle over 80,000 cubic yards of organic materials each year.  30,000 yards of that amount is green waste, brought to us by residents, landscaping companies & tree services from all over Sonoma County.  The other 50,000 yards comes from agricultural products.  Grab N' Grow takes in grape pomace from wineries, apple pomace from canneries, cow manure from dairies and horse manures from ranches.  All local, all tested and all a very important part of what we do.

In order for Grab N' Grow to keep up with the production and quality of our many products we added two machines in 2004.  The first, a Morbark 1200 Industrial Tub Grinder.  This grinder processes all of our green waste, which makes up five of our mixes and three mulches.  The other, a Morbark model 150- screen machine, clears our products of large particles, making each mix the perfect consistency for its recommended application.

Grab N' Grow's recycling program offers a total of eight green waste based products.  Look for the recycle symbol () next to these items.

We are committed to producing the highest quality recycled green waste materials available.  This is why we are so particular as to what green waste items Grab N' Grow will accept for recycling.  What comes in leaves as a part of a soil mix, compost or ground cover. Please take the time to read our rules and regulations below on yard waste recycling at Grab N' Grow.

'Why is there a fee for recycling brush?' many people ask.  When you look at the whole process of recycling materials it makes sense.  Recycling costs money.  There's the labor of moving, separating, grinding, composting, mixing, and screening.  There's the cost of fuel for running the loaders, grinders and screeners.  Also the machinery has to be maintained.  This is an extremely costly endeavor.  However all products made from the green waste recycling program are sold back at a minimum 23% less than other products in their class.
