One of our most popular mixes, Julious' Choice is specifically designed for planting in small containers between 1 and 5 gallons but is also suitable for larger containers up to about 18 gallons... Use a clay pot, a cloth pot, little ceramic pots, whatever. You can't go wrong with Julious' Choice.

We named this special potting soil for Julious Gonsior who started Grab N' Grow in 1960. Julious created hand-crafted soils and compost for farmers and nurseries... Customers with big needs. He also created specialty soils for people with more confined gardening needs... Customers who plant in pots.

Planting in small pots can be a challenge because plants need moisture while the soil must provide proper drainage to prevent root rot. Lake County red lava rock is the special ingredient in Julious' Choice that makes this product successful for growing in small pots. Julious' Choice contains red lava sand, crushed red lava rock, fir bark, aged and composted horse manure, Ferrous Sulfate and a light application of four fertilizers.

At Grab N' Grow we believe that there should always be an organic option.  Organic Nursery contains organic horse compost, 1/8- red lava sand, 5/16- crushed red lava rock, 1/4-fir bark, Oyster shell flour, Blood meal, Bone meal, Kelp meal, Azomite® and Soil Sulfur.  This mix is great for growing vegetables, herbs and fruit trees in containers 18 gal. and smaller.
