Garden Mix       $40.75 yard

We start with a finished portion of our Tango Mulch Compost and add sandy loam soil, 1/4- Fir bark, crushed red lava rock and a little soil sulfur to adjust the pH.  The very high hummus content of the soil is just the thing for a bountiful "raised bed" vegetable garden. Just put it in your bed and watch everything grow!  Also recommended for 1/2 barrel planting.

Landscape Planter Mix        $33.75 yard

We blend top quality sandy loam with aged horse compost and crushed red lava rock.  To this we add a light application of five slow release fertilizers: Nitroform, Calcium Nitrate, Single Super Phosphate, 15-15-15 and Iron Sulphate, to make sure whatever you plant has all the nutrients it needs to grow and be healthy.  This is the perfect mix for landscaping; i.e. Roses, trees and perennial flowers in 1/2 barrels, raised beds or ground gardening.  It's even safe for vegetables!

To our All Green Compost add Santa Rosa loam and crushed red lava rock.  This is our mix perfect for putting in a sod lawn.  The high calcium and basic nutrients are all  your lawn needs to get going.  Also a good mix for trees & shrubs!

Nitro Loam        $27.75 yard

This basic mix of sandy loam and nitro-sawdust is what works best for starting or re-seeding a lawn.  Keep a little to the side, and spread 1/8" or less over your seeds to keep birds from eating your new lawn seed.

This is our most popular potting mix.  Designed for containers 15 gal. and smaller, you cant go wrong with it.  It contains 1/8- red lava sand, 5/16- crushed red lava rock, 1/4- Fir bark, aged horse compost, nitroform, calcium nitrate, single super phosphate, 15-15-15 and iron Sulphate.  Sound familiar?  This mix is the sister of the Landscape Planter Mix, but the loam is substituted with sand.

Organic Nursery Planter Mix       $38.25 yard

At Grab N' Grow we believe that there should always be an organic option.  Organic Nursery contains Organic Horse Compost , 1/8- red lava sand, 5/16- crushed red lava rock, 1/4-fir bark, Oyster shell flour, Blood meal, Bone meal, Kelp meal and Azomite®.  This mix is great for growing vegetables, herbs and fruit trees in containers 18 gal. and smaller.

Grab N' Grow's  newest addition is an economically priced container mix, Value Nursery Planter Mix.  We have made a fabulous combination of Grab N' Grow's All-Green Compost, Nitro Sawdust, 5/16 minus Red Lava Rock and Perlite.   The body of this mix is fertilized with Nitroform, Calcium Nitrate, Single Super Phosphate, Potassium Sulfate, Iron Sulfate & Soil Sulfur.  This container mix is a great "value" just like its name.

To meet the needs of all of our customers, Grab N' Grow makes two seed starter mixes.  These mixes have been used by nurseries, farmers and homeowners for years to achieve maximum germination from their seeds and to make certain their seedlings get a good start in the world.  Both starter mixes are made with a blend of crushed red lava rock, peat moss and perlite to create the ideal medium for germination.  These soil-less mixes stay moist but also retain plenty of air for the young roots because the perfect amount of perlite has been added.  To ensure a balanced nutrient supply we add:

If your project requires an addition of clean composted organic matter, this is the product for you.  Organic Vineyard Compost is listed with the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for use in organic production.  Made from a simple blend of grape pomace, green waste and oyster shell flour.  This compost was designed with the vintner in mind.  There are no manures or supplemental nitrogen fertilizers added to this high potassium mix.  Our aerobic composting technique heats the compost to a minimum of 131° F. ensuring the complete reduction of weed seeds and pathogens.  After the composting is completed we screen it through a 1" screen to create a nice texture.  This compost will enhance any situation from large landscaping to large vineyard applications where organic matter without the extra nutrients is called for.  We have priced Organic Vineyard Compost so that you may purchase quantity without compromising quality.  Delivery service available on orders exceeding 20 yards.

All Green Compost   $15.50 yard      

All Green Compost is made from green waste materials i.e. grass clippings, leaves, branches, etc., that landscapers an home owners bring to us for recycling.  We grind these materials, add Urea, Calcium Nitrate, Single Super Phosphate, Iron Sulphate and Oyster Shell Flour and compost them at a minimum 131° F.  All Green Compost has a neutral pH and can be used in a wide variety of landscape planting.  It's a great soil conditioner to break up adobe/clay soil and provide moisture retention in sandy soil.  This is also perfect for preparing soil for new lawn.  All Green Compost makes a great top dressing or mulch.

Rhododendron Mix       $50.25 yard

Rhododendrons, Camellias and Azaleas have specific soil and nutrient requirements.  Our Rhodie Mix has the low pH and good drainage they need.  Designed by a professional nursery, it contains 1/4- and 1/4x3/4 Douglas Fir bark and 5/16- crushed red lava rock.  Douglas Fir bark in all its forms is very beneficial to Rhododendrons.  To this base we blend the perfect ratio of these fertilizers: Nitroform, Single Super Phosphate, Dolomite 65, Gypsum and Iron Sulphate.  This mix is designed to be mixed with your native soil to plant new plants or to top dress your existing ones.

Lawn Top Dressing       $43.75 yard

A 100% organic conditioner for lawns, it's a mixture of our aged Mango Mulch Compost, Glacial Rock Dust, 1/8 minus red lava sand and 1/4- Fir bark blended and reprocessed for a fine texture.  Soft Rock Phosphate and Greensand are now added to the mix for a long range of phosphorous and potassium.  Evenly broadcast the Lawn Top Dressing a 1/4" thick over the area and rake it in.  After that is done give it a  good deep watering and you have improved water absorption, supplied a broad range of nutrients and encouraged deeper root penetration.

Arbor Mulch        $17.25 yard  

Arbor Mulch is a popular recycled product that is only available at Grab N' Grow.  Made from the tree trimmings brought to us by tree services.  It primarily consists of soft woods such as pine, alder, fir, poplar, redwood and acacia.  We sort the eucalyptus to make a pathway mulch.  These woods are sent through an industrial tub grinder to be ground into small pieces that are perfect for mulching around plants.  Arbor Mulch is a very attractive ground cover that helps retain moisture in the soul, controls weeds and helps with erosion.  This mulch is excellent on a hill side and for high wind areas.
